About Us.
Hemphill Guitars is a one-man shop run by Joseph Hemphill. Joseph began tinkering with instruments when he was 13 or 14 years old. Even as a teen, he always had a passion for musical instruments and the curiosity of why and how they did what they did. Now, 20+ years later, he has been building and repairing custom instruments in his shop right outside of Nashville, TN. Each instrument he creates is uniquely crafted with care and attention to detail.
